"Domain Registry of Canada" Has been sued again and again, and keep hiding behind numbered companies and cross-border loop-holes in the law.

They typically target consumers who own dot-com dot-net, and dot-org domain names. They send in the mail what looks like a renewal notice to clients. Any client with privacy protection should beware as these guys will get your contact information and post you a letter in what is usually a brown enverlope that looks like something from the government.

They have no right to do this, and industry Canada has been after them for years with some luck. They do not do this with dot-ca names that we know of.

If you receive a domain name renewal notice that is not from DOMAINSunder or Computer Engineering Inc., please be wary.
